Hi! My name is Tricia Dannhaus. I am the Computer Lab Aide at Needville Elementary. I am a 1988 graduate Deer Park High School and a 1992 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. I have been working in the computer lab since 2008, and before that I was a substitute teacher since 2006. I have a daughter who is an 10th grader and a son who is a college sophomore.
Students come to the computer labs two/three times a week. If your child is in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, they come to the computer labs to work on Success Maker. If they are in 1st and 2nd they also do Ticket to Read, which is our phonics and reading programs. They are able to access this program at home by clicking on www.tickettoread.com and entering their login and password.
If your child is in 3rd or 4th grade, they come to the computer labs to work on Study Island. This is a program that has questions that help prepare your child for their STAAR test. You can see how your child is doing on Study Island, by going to www.studyisland.com. Your child should know their login and password.
1st through 4th graders also work on a math program called Imagine Math Facts. They can work on this at home to get better at their math facts. They can log in to it at https://bigbrainz.com/login/.
